Molecule Air Bar, Sector 29

MOLECULE AIR BAR, SECTOR 29

Molecule

How is your 2020 going??

Mine is rocking (story of my shaken up life). Hope everyone is doing great. So, here is my first blog after all the quarantine, lockdowns and unlocks that are making our travel plans suffer.

Dream

So, chalieye shuru krte hai explore krna another gem of Gurugram’s famous Sector 29. When it comes to food and drink Sector – 29 is one of my favourite places, here you’ve so many options to choose from and one of the must-try is “Molecule Air Bar”.

In Love with Ambiance

I recently visited this place. At first, I was a bit worried about the sanitization because of China but I was happy to see that they’re taking all the necessary precautions like masks, temperature check at the gates, sanitization of hands before entry and disinfection of all the tables after the customer leave before they let anyone occupy that table which was very comforting.

The place is very well lit with a dark theme, fancy lighting and neon signboards and quotes which gives a positive vibe about this place and glass window allows the light to give you perfect light to click Insta worthy pictures or a Whatsapp DP for people like me, and the windows are not just for the light but it comes with very small detailing of the Molecules and their chemical formulas which justify the name of the place. The molecule is divided into 2 spaces, the indoor sitting and the terrace sitting so you can choose between dim-lit inside or picture-perfect terrace. But the most eye-catching thing is the big bar counter which you can’t miss for sure and their own brewed drinks are the cherry on top. And, brownie point for all IPL Fans who want to enjoy Live Screening with friends and good food.

But you can buy me a drink

The staff is well trained and courteous but the service was quite slow in spite of the fact that there was a very small crowd that day. In their defence, the restaurant is going to focus less on speed and more on speed and taking more precautions for the safety of the customers.

I love food "To the Moon and Back"

Now, coming to the most exciting part of every blog and the love of my life “Food”.

Molecule’s menu is full of exciting fusion dishes, mocktails and cocktails so I decided to stick to that so that I can enjoy some delicious fusion food and thanks to the chef for proving that a right decision.

MOCKTAILS:

1. Toasted Coconut: I liked Toasted coconut the most the dominant flavour of Pineapple is very soothing. (4/5)

2. Tom Yum Mist: This was a bit higher on the sweet side and less on the mint and lemon side which was a big disappointment. (2/5)

COCKTAILS:

1. Smokey Whiskey Spice: As the name suggests the drink was not very Smokey or spicy but I loved the minor tanginess of the drink and the blend of fine whiskey was smoothing.

FOOD:

1. Air Bread: Never judge a book by its cover, the plating of Air bread was as simple as bible and not that appealing to the eyes but this small dish will fill your mouth with an amusing taste for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (5/5)

2. Gol Gappa Shots: The Love for Gol Gappa is forever. I usually prefer street stalls when it comes to Gol Gappa but at Molecule, they served fine quality Gol Gappe which tasted quite close to the street style Gol Gappa. (3/5)

3. Chole Bhature Inside Out: Another fusion dish for Chole Bhature Lovers (FYI: I’m in love with Chole Bhature). This dish is the best if you want to enjoy Chole Bhature  without making your hands dipped in Chole (Right way to eat Chole Bhature is without a spoon) at first, I thought they served us Kachodi but then the waiter explained that the Chole were already filled inside so that you don’t need to ask for extra chole. I really loved this unique idea. (3/5)

4. Crispy Fried Momos: Love for momos is also everlasting and the momos served here made my day and restored my faith in the momos served at the restaurants. The outer layer was bit crispy and the inside was filled with juicy and tangy chicken. (4/5)

5. Pav Manchurian: Another yum fusion dish which brings Indian Pav and Chinese Manchurian together. Manchurian is filled inside the Pav which gives it a unique taste. (4/5)

6. Murgh Biryani: All is good when Biryani is good. I was literally craving for biryani and I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the chicken because of its dryness. (2.5/5)

DESSERT:

1. Baked Gulab Jamun: Although I’m not a huge big fan of Hot desserts with an exception of Jalebi and Choco Lava Cake. However, after trying Baked Gulab Jamun here at molecule. I have added it to the list of my favourites. (3.5/5)

This is a great place to visit with your friends and enjoy some safe post COVID lunch or dinner dates and enjoy the delicious food and beautiful ambience.

And most important please stay safe, maintain social distancing, wear masks and sanitizing or wash your hands whenever needed.
